The 110 year old Fascia's, Soffits and Cast iron Guttering was beginning to show it age and a full replacement was necessary to restore its character
We carried out a full survey to analyse the existing damage and any causes for concern and it was apparent that the existing fascia's and soffits were in an awful state, although the existing original cast iron guttering was in extremely good condition.
Our preferred scaffolding contractor whom we have worked with for many years erected a full scaffolding for our fitters to gain safe access to all elevations of the house and we set about removing the existing Fascia's, Soffits, Gutters and Barge Boards.
Upon removal of the existing timber Fascia's, Soffits and Gutters we could see the extent of damage that years of water ingress, birds nesting and mice infestation had left behind with the eaves full of nests trapping moisture in the eaves space rotten timbers were present which we treated and repaired.
We installed new Chartwell green uPVC Fascia and Soffit boards as well as new ogee guttering, which has a high capacity profile as well as decorative features to restore the original period charm and character.
Our thorough approach to the replacement of Fascia, Soffit and Guttering is clearly superior to simply capping over the original timbers, leaving the problems out of sight and out of mind is not an option when using a professional Replacement Fascia, Soffit and Gutter company like Cladding and Fascia's.
